Workshop

Our first workshop took place in a shiny afternoon on the UMN Minneapolis campus. There were about 60 participants. Most of them are undergraduate and graduate students from the School of Statistics. A couple faculty members attended the event as well.

Our speaker, Subho Majumdar, was a fifth PhD student who had extensive experience working with R-shiny visualization. During the workshop, Subho demonstrated two simple examples, and showcased an R-shiny application that he had designed to track the Zika virus in Brazil.
